About Me

I’ve been an artist and avid gamer for a majority of my life. “Geekyloft” started out as my gamertag and online username when I first started college in 2011. 

On a random weekend in 2019 some friends invited my partner and I to their house to play our first game of D&D (Dungeons and Dragons). This began a 3 year campaign that rekindled a childhood love of folktales, mythology, and magic!  Role playing games such as D&D have given me a way of exploring topics such as self-identity, loss, and my growth as both a person and artist. Now most of my work depicts ideas of fantasy, whimsy and escapism through the use of underglaze painting and surface designs.

In 2022 my partner and I bought our first home which allowed me to finally set up my own ceramic studio and purchased my first kiln. After nearly a decade of working for other people I decided to take a leap of faith and allow myself to create work that resonated with me on a deeper level. Since then, my work and interests have evolved and I’ve had the privilege of exploring multiple mediums such as ceramic, resin, gouache and digital painting to develop a body of work that I feel reflects me.
