Hi everyone! I’m Jewel, aka Geekyloft!

I’m a queer, disabled, fantasy-loving multidisciplinary artist who’s spent their life exploring all kinds of mediums ranging from digital painting, wood burning, gouache, sewing, acrylic, and ink to clay (my keystone) and, yes, literal trash! That’s part of why I often refer to myself as a trash panda, because I truly believe you can make art out of anything given enough time, patience, and creativity.

This year looks a little different for me.

After a significant injury in January and a long period of burnout and ongoing health challenges, I’ve made the decision to step away from actively selling my work for most of 2026 so I can focus on healing, adapting, and rebuilding a more sustainable creative life.

Rather than constantly pushing to produce, I want to spend this season reconnecting with creativity through personal projects, experimentation, community events, and sharing the process along the way. I may still occasionally participate in a few local events like The Big Gay Market and Madison Makers Market, but my focus right now is rest, recovery, and rediscovering joy in making without the pressure of constant production.

I’ll still be sharing art, inspiration, works in progress, and community happenings on my socials as I figure out what a sustainable art practice looks like in a disabled body.

Thank you for being here while I reshape what it means to create with care, curiosity, flexibility, and community at the center.

If you’d like to follow along or are interested in collaborating, feel free to reach out through my contact page or at geekyloft@gmail.com. Please note that responses may be slow while I focus on recovery and rebuilding capacity.

Stay safe, stay soft, and stay weird,
Jewel (aka Geekyloft)
